Catching Starlight

Catching Starlight

She plucks the sky with careful fingers,
each star a whispered wish descending—
drops them into glass like captured fireflies,
like bottled dreams, like childhood lingering.
The night spills through her window,
silver-blue and infinite,
and she, small keeper of luminous things,
gathers what the darkness offers:
light pooling in her palms,
hope collected, one glowing thread at a time.
