The tree stands like a monarch in velvet robes of green,
draped in crimson ornaments that catch the light like rubies in a crown.
Each bauble hangs with the weight of ceremony, deliberate as court jewels,
while gold trim spirals up the branches like scepters claiming their throne.
The star at the peak reigns over this kingdom of pine and firelight,
and we bow before its regal splendor, subjects made holy by its glow.
