My 90 Day Challenge

I've resolved that 2026 won't be a year where I merely survive. (And look, if survival is all someone can manage in a given year, that's absolutely enough—no judgment there.)

But I've realized something about myself: I can't sit comfortably with just existing. I'm wired to reach for something, to work toward goals that stretch me beyond my current boundaries, to leave something meaningful in my wake. There's a particular satisfaction I get from checking items off a to-do list, crushing goals, and watching tangible accomplishments stack up.

That's exactly why I've committed to the 90 Day Challenge, inspired by this ebook.

I plan to document my journey here as a way to hold myself accountable. The system is straightforward: dedicate at least one hour each day to working toward your goal. I've chosen two goals that complement each other beautifully. One I can tackle in the morning when I'm fresh, the other when I'm most energized and creatively alive—which for this night owl means the evening hours.

Goal 1: Master the fundamentals of cooking. I've been cooking for years, but I've never had formal training in the foundations—how to build sauces from scratch, season with confidence, properly butcher and prepare different cuts of meat. I'm hoping this course will elevate my skills and give me the foundation to explore new recipes with actual understanding, not just blind following.

Goal 2: Write at least 750 words daily. I have several novellas and a collection of short stories in various stages of completion. This daily word count will create the momentum I need to actually finish what I've started.

In addition to this, I do have a list of new years resolution goals, but I plan to keep this private.  I will say that my ninety day goals compliment the resolutions I've already written.

I'll be posting updates as I work through the challenge and sharing my progress along the way. Here's to making 2026 a year of intentional growth.
